All adult dogs in West Vancouver, and in both the City and District of North Vancouver need to be licensed by the municipality in which they live.  The age at which they must be licensed varies from town to town, as does the cost.

Dogs residing in the Tsleil-Waututh Nation do not require a licence.

City of North Vancouver

Dogs must be licenced after four months of age. Fine: $60

District of North Vancouver

Dog owners that they must have a valid license for each dog in their
household (3 months or older). Dog licences must be purchased no later
than January 31 of each year, after which dog owners could be subject
to a fine for an unlicensed dog. Fine: $50.00

West Vancouver
